Product certification – general information
Many products require CE marking before they can be distributed for sale in the EU. The CE marking indicates that the product has been evaluated by the manufacturer and found to meet EU safety, health and environmental requirements. It is required for products manufactured anywhere in the world that are then sold in the EU.
COCH operates as Notified Body No. 1462 under the following directives:
2014/68/EU - Pressure equipment (PED)
Our company offers a reliable evaluation of equipment for obtaining the label CE (Conformité Européenne), which is a key criterion for determining whether a product meets the legal requirements of the European Union. CE conformity assessment allows the free circulation of a given device within the European Economic Area, which includes 28 European Union member states and countries of the European Free Trade Association. Refrigeration equipment, air conditioning equipment, heat pumps, as well as refrigerated transport can undergo a professional conformity assessment procedure.
Within the scope of the PED Directive, the scope of activities of the COCH Notified Body includes.:
- Module A2: internal production control and supervised inspection of pressure equipment at random intervals,
- Module B: EU type research - production type,
- Module B: EU type research - project type,
- Module C2: Conformity to type based on internal production control and supervised inspection of pressure equipment at random intervals,
- Module D: Conformity to type based on quality assurance of the manufacturing process,
- Module D1: Production Process Quality Assurance,
- Module E: Conformity to type based on quality assurance of pressure equipment,
- Module E1: Quality assurance of inspection and testing of finished pressure equipment,
- Module F: Conformity to type based on verification of pressure equipment,
- Module G: Compliance based on unit verification,
- Module H1: Compliance based on full quality assurance and design studies.
The Central Refrigeration Center "COCH" in Cracow is an accredited product certification body (accreditation of the Polish Center for Accreditation No. AC 036), meeting the requirements of PN-EN ISO/IEC 17065.
Centralny Ośrodek Chłodnictwa "COCH" w Krakowie Sp. z o.o. - Notified body currently in the scope of the PED 2014/68/EC directive.
The identification number assigned to the COCH certification body by the European Commission - 1462.
The compliance evaluation process consists of the following steps:
- Request for Proposal/Application,
- Offer/contract,
- Actions provided for in the respective module/conformity assessment system of the directive/regulation,
- Decision and issuance of certificate/certificate,
- Supervision of the issued certificate, if provided for in the respective module/ conformity assessment system of the directive/regulation.
